Our family’s journey to the Oregon Coast began by chance in 2022, when our truck broke down toward the end of our travels of the lower 48. What was meant to be a short stop became our home. We laid down roots, built some sense of community, and discovered a new chapter of life.

Both Rob and I (Liz) served in the military, with Rob completing a 17-year career as an Army infantryman. Following his medical retirement and my own health battle, we looked for a fresh start. Soapmaking began as a way to live healthier and ease financial strain, but soon grew into something deeper and more meaningful - a way to share stories and help others feel a sense of connection and belonging.

At Oregon Coast Soaps, every bar is crafted with care and tells a story of ocean and forest, of history and community, of humanity itself. While our soaps are inspired by our home on the Oregon Coast, they’re made for anyone, anywhere, a way to carry a bit of the coast into your daily life and feel grounded in something bigger than yourself.
