What makes Oregon Coast Soaps different?
We're a family-owned small business on the Oregon Coast. Between the two of us, we've served in both the Army and Air Force, raised three kids, moved a whole lot, and are still learning along the way.
Our soaps are handcrafted in small batches using essential oils, clays, botanicals, and other thoughtfully chosen ingredients. We support local whenever possible and are always learning, improving, and refining both our products and our process.
Most importantly, we hope our products help people feel a little more connected to their communities, their surroundings, and the everyday life happening around them.

What does "Soaps That Tell a Story" mean?
Most of our soaps begin with a question. A place, a tradition, a piece of history, a local plant, or something in everyday life that makes us curious enough to learn more.
We follow those stories wherever they lead and handcraft soaps inspired by what we discover along the way. Our hope is that the story doesn't end when the soap leaves our workshop. Maybe it continues when you spot a Big Leaf Maple on a walk, visit Haystack Rock with your family, or share a tradition with someone you love.
The world is full of fascinating stories. We simply hope our soaps help people slow down, stay curious, and remember that they belong to a much bigger story.

Our soaps are made with a blend of oils and butters chosen to create a balanced, everyday bar. We focus on making soaps that are cleansing without being harsh, conditioning without feeling heavy, and long-lasting when cared for properly.
We scent our soaps with essential oils and often use ingredients such as clays, botanicals, sea salt, kelp, coffee, pumpkin, maple syrup, and other ingredients that help tell each soap's story.
We also believe people should know what they're using. That's why we provide complete ingredient lists for every soap, including the individual essential oils used in each recipe.
Because every soap is different, you'll find the full ingredient list on each product page.

Handmade soap is different from many commercial bars found in stores. Because it contains fewer synthetic hardeners and detergents, it benefits from a little extra care.
To get the most out of your bar:
• Allow it to dry completely between uses.
• Use a soap dish that drains well and keeps the bar out of standing water.
• Lather the soap in your hands, on a washcloth, or on a sponge rather than leaving the bar under running water for long periods of time.
• Rotate between bars if you'd like them to last even longer.
With proper care, a good handmade bar can provide many weeks of use while staying firm and performing its best.
